Reno Nose Surgery

Reno Breast Implant Exchange – Breast Implant Correction Reno

There are many reasons women visit Reno plastic surgeon Dr. Volshteyn for breast implant exchange. Breast implant are not designed to last forever, sometimes surgical mistakes happen, or the body reacts poorly with the implant, or the implant itself fails. No matter what your reason for implant exchange, Dr. Volshteyn will work with you to create breast augmentation results you love.

Breast implants are generally replaced by patient choice within 10 to 15 years. A change in cup size is generally the reason women choose Reno breast implant exchange. Breast assymetry is the most common reason women seek the help of Dr. Volshteyn. Other reasons women may seek Reno implant exchange may be leakage and capsular contracture. Both Silicone and Saline implants carry some risk of leaking. Saline implants that leak can cause a visibly “deflated” and uneven look. Silicone implant leaks are less noticeable and may require and MRI to detect a leak. In either case, it is recommended that you see a doctor immediately to remove and replace the implant to not cause further complications down the road. Capsular Contracture happens when a woman’s body develops a scar across or around the implant. The scarring can cause a visual deformity and can create an unpleasant feel to the breast.

Patient education prior to Reno breast augmentation as well as closely following pre- and post-op surgery direction from your plastic surgeon will greatly reduce your risk of needing breast implant exchange.
