Dr. Boris Volshteyn received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia where he graduated Magna cum Laude. His surgical training in General and Plastic surgery was completed at the University of Missouri. He completed a year of clinical research and fellowship in Microsurgery and had an additional training in cosmetic surgery at MEETH, Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York City. He received an additional advanced training in mesotherapy in Paris, France under renown Dr. Jacquesce Coz and in cell therapy in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Dr. Volshteyn holds a Master of Science Degree in Applied Human Physiology from the University of Health Sciences in Chicago.
Over the years for his contributions to Medicine he was elected to AOA, Alpha Omega Alpha, the most prestigious National Medical Honor Society and received numerous recognitions and awards for his research, resident and medical student teaching, including Sandoz and MU Chancellor’s Award as well as a research grant from the American Lipoplasty Society.
His research on liposuction safety, reliability of computer imaging in cosmetic plastic surgery and effectiveness of newer techniques in facial rejuvenation (face lift surgery) had been presented at various national meetings and are to be published by our professional journal.
Dr. Volshteyn is a member of numerous medical societies and an active participant of national and international meetings in Plastic surgery as he constantly travels around the world seeking newest and best treatments available. He has active privileges in Plastic surgery at Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat, Cabrini, New York Methodist, Maimonides, Lutheran New York Community and Long Island College Hospitals and Ambulatory Surgery Center of Brooklyn.
Dr. Volshteyn specializes in cosmetic surgery and performs a variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures, including facelift, eyelid surgery, brow lift (full and minimal incision forehead lifts), cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, breast reduction (including gynecomastia – male reduction), enlargements and lifts, liposuction, abdominoplasty (mini- and full tummy tuck), Medical micro-hair restoration surgery, rhinoplasty (nose surgery), dermabrasion, laser surgery, facial and body implant surgery and many others.
